Sedat Aral is a Turkish photojournalist and documentary maker. For over three decades he has covered wars and other international news, with regular photographic commissions for Newsweek, Time Magazine and Asiaweek, as well as the Turkish media. His main areas of focus have been the politics and separatist movements of Turkey and the Middle East. However, Aral has also worked extensively in Central Asia and the Far East, as well as Europe and the Americas.
Sedat Aral lives in the United Kingdom and continues to work on documentary projects. He is a strategic consultant on Turkey and the region and is a visiting lecturer at a number of universities.
